Dong Bei Xiao Long Pao and Pancakes
It’s funny how they’re one of the most sought-after, hole-in-the-wall eating places in Manila, yet keep to their cute and smart cost-cutting ways of operation, like using old water bottles as sauce containers, and yogurt tubs as utensil jars. Recycling!

Weeds and the sun high up in the sky, nearing sunset. Happy New Year!

Yesterday’s ferry at the bay
Yellow sunsets are hard to get by nowadays, we were extremely lucky. It rained for a while an hour before this, so we thought it was going to be a cloudy sunset. Guess not, it was a beautiful sunset, the huge raincloud looming overhead was a nice touch too. Barely any editing, I set the exposure to a setting where the saturation of the images mimic Nikon’s.
In our free time, we often do photowalks, so far I’ve been to 2 :) Masaya siya!

Me, in my truest element
So I was rediscovering old photos from burned CDs yesterday and I found a bunch of good and embarrassing pictures from high school. Me in my senior year of high school eating Corn Bits and gulping them down with water. Almost 6 years ago! The hair is notably jet-black, I still think it doesn’t suit me.
In other news, Merry Christmas!

The past few days have been somber, I’m reminded that people come and go, and sometimes never come back :( In remembrance of my batchmate, Crystal Padilla, who passed away due to the flash floods in CDO :(

Also for those living near Ateneo, a batchmate of ours is going to pick up relief goods from Cervini Hall by 6pm! Send them in under the name Angela Fortich :)

Waiting: A Photo Essay on the members of Brgy. Balite in Hacienda Luisita, Tarlac
Left for Hacienda Luisita in Tarlac this past Sunday to document the residents, workers, and tenants. Waiting was the theme going on in my mind as we were shooting. Luisita’s history goes back way over to the Spanish Era, and with a timeline this long, waiting is probably the hardest thing the community has done.
Had our photos printed today in YKL Sto. Domingo :) Great service! These will be exhibited along with the photos of my fellow shooters in Baclaran Church starting tomorrow :)
